What is the CLP?

The Certificate in Language Pedagogy was developed by a team of eight linguists and educators across four continents to provide high-quality training for language teachers. Although available to all, the CLP is designed especially for those prevented from obtaining a traditional teacher training qualification who can demonstrate an advanced (C1+) level of English or above.

Our 60-hour blended learning course includes six hours of observed teaching practice and is intended to be studied part-time over a flexible period. Because our trainees are often affected by issues such as displacement, gender-based oppression or financial obstacles, our course materials are available in a variety of formats designed to require minimal internet access.

The Mulkern Foundation is non-profit organisation, meaning that the enrolment fee of 199 GBP goes directly towards investing in the futures of women and children in developing countries. However, trainees resident in the Levant region may also qualify for the Al-Sham Scholarship, which sees all fees waived for successful applicants. If you would like to study with us, please send us an email using the "contact" form above, including your name, location and contact details. You should then receive a full application form within three working days.
