Stationery for Syria

We are pleased to announce a new campaign to provide schoolchildren in Aleppo with the basic supplies they need for the new school year. Many of us think nothing of access to pens, paper and pencils - perhaps even using them wastefully. However, for many children in Aleppo, the disruptions of war, sanctions and, most recently, a devastating earthquake have meant that they must rely on their own teachers to supply such items out-of-pocket.

That's why we are offering you the opportunity to provide a Syrian child with a fully stocked pencil case and exercise book for just $5. We also invite you to include a personalised note to each child, which we will print and send along with their brand new stationery set. Unlike other organisations, nobody at the Mulkern Foundation draws a salary and we take pride in being able to demonstrate exactly where your money goes. To this end, we promise to send you a scanned thank-you letter written by the child you help using the stationery you have sent them, along with a photograph.

Donations can be made through our usual PayPal portal, with your desired message sent either via the contact form on our website or directly to syria@mulkernfoundation.org

Every contribution, however small, is another firm step towards our goal of achieving equity through education.
